Zoe Dann began her fitness career by competing in a Figure competition in Greece
'I decided to take part in a competition to help my confidence. It's a bit extreme when you think about it - to stand on stage in front of hundreds of people in a bikini!
But it's fascinating how your body changes as you train.'
The experience definitely helped boost her confidence and gave her the platform she needed to move into strongwoman training a couple of years ago.
In 2019 Zoe entered London's strongest woman under 63kg - and she came in 2nd.
Next came Southern England's strongest woman under 63kg where she also came 2nd, which qualified her to take part in England's Strongest Woman where she achieved 4th place.
This was followed by the Britain's Strongest Woman competition where she achieved 7th place.
Great results and fast!
Zoe has a fantastic work ethic and attributes her success to consistency in training, proper nutrition and setting small achievable goals.
When she's not training Zoe spends her down time messing around on motorbikes, or with her head buried in a good book, snacking (Haribo sours, Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and Rice Krispy Squares came top of the guilty pleasures list!)
Zoe's next competition is on the 4th April - at the Southern Qualifiers for England's Strongest Woman in Basingstoke. We'll be there cheering her on.
